Note: * Not listed in household in 1850 Wayne Co TN census. * See charts (CUR010) and (STC034) * William M. Stricklin married Lucinda Meridan Faircloth on April 4, 1859, in Wayne County, Tennessee. William M. Stricklin was born in Tennessee in 1836. Lucinda Meridan Faircloth-Stricklin was born in Alabama in 1840 and was the daughter of Henry Faircloth and Nancy Strain. It is noted that both William M. Stricklin and Lucinda's father, Henry Faircloth are listed as "house carpenters" in the census records. William and Lucinda had two sons born in Tennessee, William Doris, born October 18, 1862, and Samuel, born 1868. There is also a listing for an infant 4 months old as Tennessee, who it is assumed died as it is not listed again on any census. As son Madison was born in 1872 and daughter Mary was born in 1874 in Kentucky, the family was only in Tennessee about 9-10 years and moved to Kentucky about 1872. In 1880 we find the Stricklin family in Dallas County, Texas. So they moved from Kentucky to Texas sometime between 1874 and 1880.
