Doctor was W. R. Bonds. (NP34(6) ------------------------------------------- * McGuah family In our pictures, we have a picture of a ?grannie? McGough along with Necie Jane Spain. She was not kin to our family according to Melvie Brewer. She said that ?Grannie's? son, Tom, ran a store in Poplar Springs in Winston County. He had a brother, Robert, who lived in Navoo, Winston Co, AL. Later Tom also moved back to Navoo. That is where they lived previously. The only McGough that I could find on the internet was in the 1850 Walker Co, AL court records. The spelling of name could be different, and was probably spelled various ways. I grew up in Nauvoo, Walker County, Alabama. My father was Tommie McGough, son of Harrison McGough, son of Peter/Pete McGough, son of William B., son of John, son of Robert(Jr), son of Robert (Sr) born 1725 Newry, CountyDown, Northern Ireland and brought his family to America, entering at Charleston, South Carolina. William B. McGough was born 1812 KY, settled in Walker County where he raised his 13 sons (no daughters!) and is buried Flatwoods Cemetery, Nauvoo--along with most all of his sons, grandsons, great-grandsons,etc. There were a number of Tom's and Robert's. I have the two McGough books authored by Carolyn McGough Rowe which covers the Walker County McGough Clan. I am willing to do look-ups if you can tell me WHICHTom/Robert you are seeking...names of wives/children would be especially helpful.
