BUT ALONG THE YEARS, MAINLY STARTING IN THE 1920 RECORDS, WITH HER SON, JOHN PHINEAS CLEMENTS/CLEMERR'S CHILDREN, IT BECAME MOSTLY SPELLED "CLEMMER OR CLEMER". MUCH CONFUSION ON THIS ISSUE.. SEE 1860 MARSHALL CO MS, PO LAMAR, WHERE SHE IS SHOWN WITH HER HUSBAND, J. S. CLEMMET, AND HER KNOWN CHILDREN. ALSO, HER BROTHER-IN-LAW, NEWTON GREEN HALL, WAS LIVING WITH THEM AT THE TIME. (WHICH IS FURTHER PROOF THAT THIS CENSUS WAS IN FACT OUR MARTHA ANN PARALEE ROBERTSON & CHILDREN.) MARTHA & JOSEPH DIVORCED OR SEPARATED SOMETIME AFTER THE 1860 CENSUS & THE 1870 CENSUS, WHERE JOSEPH IS FOUND IN NEWTON CO MS. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIND MARTHA & THE CHILDREN IN THE 1870 CENSUSES. * It is said that Martha died twice. They had dug her grave and were preparing her burial clothes, when she reached over to her Aunt and grabbed her hand, and spit out some grape seeds. She told them to count the seeds, and that is how many more years she would live. She lived 7 more years. S. Clemmet (Clemmer) and children. Her brother-in-law, Newton Green Robertson, was living with them. * 1880 Tippah Co MS census, Beat 5, hh 100, p 12, age 43 MS TN --, widow, with children. Last name shown as Clemment. * 1900 Poinsett Co AR, Bolivar TS, p 19, age 62 MS AL AL, widow, with son, John Phineas Clemmer family. Last name shown as Clemment.
