Note: r than the "Green" being used in Hall families down the line. Most show Cynthia Henderson Bass as Hillard's wife. (See will below). However, how did Hillard Hall & this Cynthia Bass get together, since Hillard was from far away in South Carolina & Cynthia in Franklin Co NC? Also, Hillard & whichever wife already had sons Alden Hall, born abt 1800 in TN & Charlie H. Hall, born about 1808. If that was the case, in the will of Jacob Bass Jr, wouldn't Cynthia be listed as Cynthia Hall?? HOWEVER, Hillard shows up in Caswell Co NC ( near Franklin Co NC) Will Book F, p 44, where he is listed as owing a note to the estate of a Alexander McNeil. This was during the March Court, 1809. This was a note in amount of $12, and noted that his whereabouts were unknown. Do not know if this was an old note or not, as he was in Roane Co TN in 1806, and in Lincoln Co TN by November 1810. * A Will of Jacob Bass Jr. in Franklin Co NC, shows a Cynthia Bass receiving property. "Jacob Bass Jr, son of Jacob and Prudence (?) Bass was born about 1765 and died in 1810 in North Carolina. Jacob married Ann Cook about 1785. Jacob Bass Jr's will is on file in Franklin County, North Carolina, Book D, Page 7.
