a. Note:   3 about 3-4 miles from Harrisburg, along the old Jonesboro Road. It was located just off the highway on a dirt road. Our family would go to grandmother's house every Sunday afternoon after church. In 2002, the house was still standing,although completely run down, and with the front porch enclosed. She had remained living at the Nicholas Whitaker place where she had lived when husband, Ed, died until moving to this new house. The Whitaker's had told her that she could live there as long as she wanted. * 1880 Henderson Co TN, Dist. 14, p 9, age 6 TN TN TN, with father & mother, Delia. * 1897, Sep 5: married Edward Lee Minton in Decatur Co TN. Marriage license spelled her last name as "Strickland". * 1900 Henderson Co TN, age 24 TN TN TN, with husband & son, Robert Wesley. Had had 1 child; still living at the time. Lived next door to her mother. * 1910 Henderson Co Tn census. age 35. Had had 5 children; 4 still living at that time. * 1920 Henderson Co TN census, Civil District 7 > District 102, age 46 * 1930 Poinsett Co AR census, Bolivar TS, hh 202, age 55, head of household. With children, William & Rubel. * 1940 Poinsett Co AR, Bolivar TS, p. 8,age 66 TN, head of household, widow.
