Note: 7, 1863. Prisoner at Camp Morton, Indiana & paroled at Ft. Delaware, Delaware. Paroled on July 3, 1863. He enlisted Dec 24, 1861, in Florence, AL. Company muster roll stated he was absent since Battle of Baker's Creek, May 16, 1863. (Thus he had been captured). He was captured at Raymond, MS near Vicksburg by the Army of Tennessee (Union) & taken to Memphis, TN on 25 May 1863. On his company muster roll dated Sept & Oct 1863, it stated "deserted August 15, 1863; exchanged July 20 1863 & never returned. * His home was Wright, Lauderdale Co, AL according to Confederate records.
* 1910 Lauderdale Co AL, Chapel, age 75 AL GA GA, Farmer, with 2nd wife, Nellie, & step-daughter, Cazada Holt.
