  Patriarchal blessing by Martin A. Bunker on 25 July 1939.
  Filled a Stake mission for 2 years. Served as President of the 29th Quorum of the Seventy in St. George, Sundy School Superintendant, visiting Home Missionary, and in Goodsprings, Nevada served as Presiding Elder of the Church.

  Witnesses who were present at the time of death related that John Raymond Kemple died at the Jupiter mine, in San Bernardino County, California. The official death certificate lists place of death as DOA at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada. The Jupiter mine is located approximately 40 miles Southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is near the small community of Sandy Valley which is located both in Nevada and California.
