Note: Marvin Buchholz always went by Marvin Louis Buchholz, but his birth certificate states his name as Marvin Lewis Buchholz. Marvin L. Buchholz of Elmira died Aug. 25 at the age of 83. He was born Jan. 24, 1912 in Salem to William and Margaret Buchholz. He attended high school in Eugene. He married Manena Inman in Elmira June 11, 1939. Buchholz worked at Glove Lumber Co. for 13 years and Fern Ridge School District for 19 years. He enjoyed hunting and rock-hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Norman and Leonard, both of Elmira, Gary of Seattle, Wash., and Chuck of Eugene; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
