Mr. Linebaugh crossed the plains when a lad six years old, coming to Oregon in 1885. He was married to Miss Nancy Shields in 1887. He was a farmer and has lived in and around Cottage Grove since his marriage. He leaves besides his widow, Mrs. Nancy Shields Linebaugh, Mrs. Lucy Landwehr of Astoria, Nellie Chamberlain of Camp Creek, Glen Linebaugh of Cottage Grove and 16 grandchildren and one brother, Douglas Linebaugh of Salver (sic) Lake. The funeral was held from the Mills chapel Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. McGee officiating. Interment in the Shields cemetery.
