  In the Matter of the Appointment of Guardians of the person and Estate of Ettie Linebaugh a minor
  To the Hon. Geo. S. Washburn Judge of said Court: The undersigned respectfully represent to said Court and allege; Your said petitioner is a resident and an inhabitant of Lane County Oregon; That one Ettie Linebaugh is a minor and of the age of eleven years; That the father and mother of said minor are both dead; That said minor has no legal guardian; That said minor has and owns in said County an estate consisting of real and personal property therein of the probable value of seven? Hundred Dollars
  That it is to the best interests of said minor and it is necessary that said minor have a duly appointed Guardian in the County to take Charge of the person of said minor and to look after and __perly manage the said estate; That said minor now resides in said Lane County; That your said petitioner in the brother of said minor and her next of kin.
  And your petitioner is of the age of 28 years and is a proper and suitable person as said guardian.
  Wherefore your petitioner prays that he be appointed guardian of the person and estate of said minor.
