  John Linebaugh and his family came from Fountain Co., Ind. to Page Co., Iowa (on the border of Mo. and Iowa) very early after the lands of Iowa were opened to emigrants. He bought land in Page Co. where he lived until his death. His sons, John, Abraham, Joseph and David all emigrated to Cal. via wagon train right after the gold rush, and only Jacob, Samuel and Isaiah stayed in Page Co., Nodaway Co., Mo. area.
  19 Nov 1863 - Lucinda, widow of John Linebaugh, petitioned the court to retain her dower rights to their Page Co., Iowa property.
  16 May 1864 - Final accounting made by the Administrator of the Estate of John Linebaugh.
