Note: Confederate Parole Records - G (Vicksburg, MS) GAMBRL N G PVT 41ST GA INF I HOSP COMMENT: If he was parroled at Vicksburg then it is possible that he died at the Lauderdale Springs Confederate Hospital and is burried in the Lauderdale Springs Confederate Cemetery. The cemetery is near Lauderdale, MS just outside Meridian, MS. I also found this about the sick soldiers of Vicksburg; "Those too sick to leave Vicksburg on their own traveled by boat to the hospital ports of Enterprise, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana, and then travel on to Fort Morgan and Fort Gains in Alabama and eventually to Mobile." NOTE: The above comment from Brian Gamble, Hayden, AL. -------------------------------- U.S. Civil War Soldiers, 1861-1865 Name: Nathan G.
