Note: CENSUS DATA: The 1860 census, Tallapoosa Co., AL, Pinckneyville, p. 166, taken 29 August 1860, shows William Jabath? Dillar (Dillard), male, age 4, born AL living in the home of his aunt, Margaret Dillard Craig, wife of James L. Craig. Also living in the home was Elizabeth Dillard, female, age 24, born SC. It is believed by some that Elizabeth Dillard (wife of Richmond Stubbs) is the eldest child of Jabez M. & Martha Finney Dillard, and that the William Jabath (Jabez) Dillard shown above is their youngest child. The children of the Jabez M. Dillard family apparently moved in with various relatives after the death of Jabez & Martha in1855 & 1857. ------------------------------- NOTE: Margaret Dillard, Elizabeth's sister, is shown living in the home of James Obediah & Nancy Elizabeth Gamble Thomas in the 1860 census. (See other notes under Elizabeth Dillard Stubbs) ---------------------------------- NOTE: Some researchers indicate that William Jabath? is the youngest son of Jabez M. and Martha Finney Dillard born abt. 1856.
