---------------------------------------------------- WWI Draft Registration Name: George Raiford Mccollister City: Phenix City County: Lee State: Alabama Birth Date: 26 May 1886 Race: White Roll: 1509400 -------------------------------------------- Obituary information, Columbus Ledger and Enquirer, Columbus, GA, March 17, 1931 reads: "George McCollister, 44, died last night at 10:00 o'clock at his residence, 703 Ninth Avenue, Phenix City, after an illness of several weeks. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Edith McCollister, of Phenix City, and two sons, Stewart McCollister of Phenix City and Willard McCollister of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Mrs J. C. Raiford of Phenix City and a brother, Albert McCollister of Phenix City; Two half-brothers, W. T. McCollister of Atlanta and J. R. McCollister of Birmingham, Ala. Mr. McCollister was a member of Mount Hermon Lodge of Masons. He had many friends there, where, he had lived practically all of his life who will be deeply grieved at his passing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the residence, conducted by Rev. C. N. James, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Phenix City.
