Living with Andrew, age 34, are his wife, Louisa, age 33; his son Thomas (Thomas Marion), age 8; his dau. Sarah C. E., age 5; his dau. Josephine, age 1. More interesting is that also living in the household was a female named Catherine McCollister, age 12. Based on Carroll County, Ga records, Inferior Court Minutes, Book AA, P. 202, this is Catherine McCollister, Andrew J.'s sister who had moved with her parents, Robert and Sarah, and some of her siblings to Muscogee, Co. Living with Andrew were his wife, Louisa, age 45, born GA and his children, Thomas, son, age 19; Eleanor, dau., age 14; Josephine, dau., age 12; Jane, dau., age 10; Andrew, son, age 7; William, son, age 5; Annie., dau., age 11 mos. All children born GA.
  CENSUS DATA: The 1880 census record of Carroll Co., Ga. 649th Militia Dist., ED=27, SD= 4, p.16, taken 7 June 1880, shows Andrew McCollister, head, age 55, born GA, father & mother born SC. Living with Andrew were his wife, Louisa, age 54, born GA and his children, Nancy J, dau., age 19; Andrew ?., son, age 16; William, son, age 14; Martha A., dau., age 10. MCCOLLISTER: The following is a transcription of Andrew J. McCollister's will transcribed by Lanny Gamble from a copy of the original document. Andrew J. was my greatgrand uncle. The will was recorded in Will Book ???, p.p. 225 -226, Carroll County, GA. The will was signed Oct. 18, 1885 and recorded in December 1895.
  225ANDREW MCCOLLISTER'S WILL
  State of Georgia)I, Andrew J. McCollister of said State and County being of sound Carroll Co.)disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament.
  Item First I give bequeath and devise to my wife Louisa McCollister fifty acres of land in the north East former of lot of land no. Eighty Five in the Sixth District of said County and State embracing the dwelling and all improvements thereon to her separate use and control except one mule.
  Item Second I give bequeath and devise to my son A. A. McCollister sixty acres of land in the South East portion of my possession on lot of land no. Eighty five the lines to be so run as to embrace a portion of the Wood land on Said land not bequeathed in Item First, also Twelve and one half acres in the North end of my possessions in lot of land no. Seventy Six.
  Item Third I give bequeath and devise to my son William McCollister sixty acres of land in the West side of lot of land no. Eighty Five embracing all my possessions in Said land not bequeathed Items First and Second, also Twelve and one half acres in the south end of my possessions in lot of land no. Seventy Six, also my mule Susie.
  Item Fourth I give bequeath and devise to my daughters Mattie and Josephine ninety acres in lot of land no. Seventy four that being the amount of my possessions in Said lot to be equally divided between these by a line run North and South, Mattie to have the East half.
  Item Fifth I give bequeath and devise to my daughter Jane Sims and her husband Jep Sims one fourth of lot of land no. one hundred and seven it being the South East one fourth.
  Item Sixth I give bequeath and devise to my daughter Allena McCune and her husband James McCune Forty five acres more or less in the South West corner of lot of land no. Forty Six.
  Item Seventh I give and bequeath and devise to my son Thomas Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars to be paid out of any funds of my estate.
  Item eight I hereby constitute and appoint Son A. A. McCollister and my son in law James McCune Executors of this my last will and testament. This Oct. 19th, 1885 A. J. McCollister (L.S.)

McCollister as his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the presence of said testator at his instance and request and of the others he signing in our presence, and we signing in his presence.
