Note: MCCOLLISTER, MAE B., age 96, of Trussville, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. McCollister; and sons, Maury McCollister and Kenneth Beam. She is survived by her sons, Jim McCollister (Faye) of McCalla and Tom McCollister (Lynne) of Trussville; daughter-in-law, Fay Beam of Tarrant; grandchildren, Mike McCollister (Mary Helen) of Boston, MA, Jenny Auvil (Jeremy) of Trussville, Mark McColliser (Ginny) of Trussville, Amy Matthews (Quinton) of Calera, Jason McCollister of McCalla, Donna Jo Clark of Birmingham, Kathy Crowley of Birmingham, and Eric Beam of Atlanta; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mae was a lifelong Baptist and member of Inglenook Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel from 3-5 P.M. There will be a graveside service on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 11 A.M. with Rev. Harris Hand officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homebound Ministry at Huffman United Methodist 711 Gene Reed Rd. Birmingham, AL 35235.
