a. Note:   Jan/John Balt emigrated 18 Mar 1889 from Sint Jacobiparochie aboard the "Leerdam" and arrived in New York City 06 Apr 1889. He worked as a carpenter for the John B Pike Corp. and later built homes for the Dutch community as an independent contractor. In 1918 he became a minister in the Christian Reformed Church pastoring churches in East Palmyra, NY, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, & Grand Rapids Michigan. He was returned to Rochester and buried in Mt Hope Cemetery BB Singles section. Full LDS ordinances performed 2010 - 15. Baptism was 28 Apr 2010 at Salt Lake.
