a. Note:   RICHARD A. WATERMAN 9-21-1951 Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at 2 o�clock in the Eldridge church for Richard A. Waterman, who died on Thursday, September 13, at his home in Eldridge, at the age of 74 years. Rev. Jasper Lewis was the officiating minister and he was assisted by the Rev. C.H. Evers. Interment was in the Hufft cemetery. The pall bearers were grandsons, Dale Fohn, Gene Rusell Fohn, James Donald Fohn, William Waterman, and Delbert Fohn. With Mrs. Roy Moore and Mrs. Troy Mosier in charge, about 30 little flower girls were in attendance, all friends of Mr. Waterman, who was a great lover of children. Richard Anderson Waterman, son of James W. and Mary Waterman, was born December 6, 1876, in Kentucky, and came with his family to Missouri when he was an infant. With the exception of one year, which he spent in Lebanon, he has lived all his life in Eldridge. He professed hope in Christ about two years ago, and one year later said that he was ready to meet his God. He and Mrs. Waterman lacked only five days of having been married 53 years. He is survived by his wife, Winnie, and six children; Elvie, Amos, and Teamon Waterman; Mrs. Lloyd Bryant and Mrs. Guelda Fohn, of Eldridge and Mrs. Denzil Fohn of Lebanon. He also leaves three brothers and one sister: Charlie Waterman of Des Moines, Iowa; John and Lem Waterman, of Eldridge, and Mrs. Alice Kelly, of Yakima, Wash. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren and his aged mother-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Martin. Coming for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Waterman, of Des Moines, Iowa; and a number of nieces and nephews from Oak Grove, Ark., Springfield, Rolla, and Des Moines, and a granddaughter and family from St. Louis. The singers were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Waterman, of Oak Grove, Ark., and Sherman and Mary Carroll Waterman, of Eldridge. Richard died from cornary occlusion and arterialclerosis.
