NOTES & QUERIES: Is there a family connection between the William SMITHE of Spalding, Lincolnshire, whose will was proved in 1614 and the William SMYTH of nearby Pinchbeck who died in 1672? An EDGOOSE family connection certainly appears possible. Additional Note: Edward SMITH and Elizabeth EDGOOSE, widow, were married at Pinchbeck on 8 September 1630. Elizabeth was the widow of John EDGOOSE 1575-1630.
