  Sarah EDGOOSE was the daughter of Richard and Sarah EDGOOSE. It is not known when Richard EDGOOSE (1623-1702) married his third wife Sarah.
  She married Thomas MOSELEY in the Quaker Meeting Place known as Devonshire House, London, on 4 November 1701: "Thos. MOSELEY of the Little Minories London wine cooper Son of Jno, MOSELEY of Martins in the ffields Cordwainer Deceased & Sarah EDGOOSE Daughter of Richard EDGOOSE of Rose Mary Laine in the Parish of White Chappell Iron Monger HAVING Declared their Intentions of taking each other in Marriage before Sevrral Publick Meetings of the People of God called Quakers in London, according to the Good Order Used a mong them, Whose Proceedings therein, after a deliberate Consideration thereof (with regard unto the Righteous Law of God, and Example of his people Recorded in the Scriptures of Truth in that Case) were approued by the Said Meetings they appearing Clear of all others, & having Consent of Parents & Relations Concerned, NOW these are to Certifie all whom it may Concern, that for the full accomplishing of their Said Intentions, this fourth day of the Ninth Month, called November in the Year, according to the English Account One Thousand Seven Hundred & One, they the said Thos. MOSELEY and Sarah EDGOOSE appeared in a Publick Assembly of the aforesaid people, & others met together for that end, in their Publick Meeting place at Devonsheir (sic) House London and in a Solemn Manner, he the said Thomas MOSELEY taking the said Sarah EDGOOSE by the hand did openly declare as ffolloweth, ffriends & ffriendly people in the fear of the Lord and in the presence of this Assembley whom I desire to be my witnesses I take this my ffriend Sarah EDGOOSE to be my wife promissing through the Lords Assistance to be to her a faithfull & louing Husband untill it Shall please the Lord by Death to Separate us, & then & there in the Said Assembley the Said Sarah EDGOOSE did in the like Manner declare as ffolloweth, ffriends in the fear of the Lord & in the presence of this Assembly whom I desire to be my witnesses I take this ny ffriend Thos MOSELEY to be my Husband promissing through the Divine Assistance of the Lord to be to him a faithfull & loving wife till it shall please the Lord by Death to Separate us, And the said Thos.   "Thomas MOSELY Son of Thomas Mosely of Rose Mary lane in the Parish of White Chappell Ironmonger, Deceased, and of Sarah his Widow, Aged about Nine Months, Dyed the 14th 12/mo 1706, Search(er)s Report of Convultions. Buried near Coverlie fields." (National Archives RG6 February 1706/07)
  In 1707 Sarah MOSELEY, widow, was described as the natural daughter of Sarah EDGOOSE: Letters of Administration were granted to her daughter Sarah MOSELEY, widow, in 1707: "Vicesimo Sexto die em(anavi)t Com(missi)o Sarae MOSELEY viduae filiae n(atu)rali et l(egi)timae Sarae EDGOOSE nup(er) paro(chi)ae S(anc)tae Mariae Matfellon al(ia)s White Chappell in Com(itatu) Midd(lese)xiae def(unc)tae h(ab)entis &c Ad ad(mini)strand' bona jura et cred' d(i)c(t)ae def(unc)tae Declarac(i)o(n)e solemni in p(resen)tia Dei omnipotentis per d(i)c(t)am Saram MOSELEY de bene &c prius facta" (PCC Admons Poley 150 1707). "On the twentysixth day commission was granted to Sarah MOSELEY, widow, the natural and legitimate daughter of Sarah EDGOOSE formerly of the parish of St. Mary Matfellon otherwise Whitechapel in the county of Middlesex, deceased, to administer the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased, a solemn declaration in the presence of almighty God having been made by the said Sarah MOSELEY".
  "Sarah MOSELEY of the parish called St. Mary White Chappell aged about Sixty years, dyed the 17th day of the First month called March 1732/3 Searchers report of the Cholick, was buried the 25th of said month near White Chappell."
