a. Note:   GEORGE EDGOOSE 1745-
  George, son of Rachel EDGOOSE and grandson of John and Elizabeth EDGOOSE, was baptised at Spalding, Lincolnshire, on 3 June 1745. (FreeReg) John EDGOOSE had married Elizabeth BAKER at Kirton-in-Holland, Lincolnshire, on 17 April 1711.
  A George EDGARS witnessed a marriage at Gedney, Lincolnshire, in 1815. (PR)
  An advertisement appeared in the Stamford Mercury on 26 December 1823, 2 January 1824, and 9 January 1824 promoting the sale by auction on 14 January of properties in Boston, amongst which was Lot 3: Three Messuages or Tenements, in or near Caroline-street, in the respective tenures of Wm. DRURY, George ATKIN, and George EDGOOSE. If this is the same George EDGOOSE who was baptised at Spalding on 3 June 1745, the illegimate daughter of Rachel EDGOOSE, he would have been 78 years old.
  NOTES & QUERIES: When and where was he buried? He does not appear in LFHS Parish Register Burials 1813-1900 which covers Boston, Lincolnshire.
