NOTES & QUERIES: What was the date of Thomas PILKINTON's will? 27 January 1762. Is there a discrepancy between the bequest to his daughter Elizabeth PILKINTON on his death in 1762 and the fact that she was Elizabeth EDGOOSE from 12 July 1761? No inconsistency here. Thomas PILKINTON's daughter Elizabeth was mentioned by christian name only, as were his daughters Sarah and Mary.
