Note: JOAN EDGOOSE formerly WRIGHT Bef. 1552-1617 Joan WRIGHT was baptised before the earliest date in Pinchbeck's register of baptisms, i.e. 1560. Jhon EDGOOSE married Jhoane WRIGHT at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 11 August 1570. William SMITHE married Joane EDGOOSE, widow, at Pinchbeck on 4 June 1604. A John EDGOOSE, husbandman, had been buried at Pinchbeck on 6 November 1596. William SMITHE of Spalding, labourer, husband of Joan SMITHE, died in 1614. The signatures of John EDGOOSE (described as a yeoman of Pinchbeck) and his mother Joan SMITHE appear at the foot of the Administration Bond. Probate was granted at Grantham on 20 July 1614 [probate incompletely translated]. Robert GREGORYE married a Joan SMYTH at Spalding on 11 May 1615.
