Note: JANE DOWAGER 1734-1795 Jane, daughter of William DOWAGER by Hannah, was baptised at Whaplode, Lincolnshire, on 1 March 1733/34. (PR) William KELHAM of Gosberton, Lincolnshire, married Jane DOWAGER at Whaplode St. Mary, Lincolnshire, on 17 July 1760 by licence. Jane DOWAGER and William KELHAM were 27 years old. (MB 1760/453 & 454) (LFHS Marriage 1700-1837 VOLUME 1) Her father William DOWAGER refers in his will to "my beloved daughter Jane KELHAM" and to his grandson Charles KELHAM. He left them one shilling each: "Fourthly I give unto my beloved Daughter Jane KELHAM the sum of One Shilling Fifly I give unto my Grandson Charles KELHAM the sum of One Shilling And Lastly as to all the rest, Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate Goods and Chatells of what kind or Nature soever I give and bequeath the same to my Beloved Wife and to my beloved Daughter Hannah DOWAGER whom I make whole and Sole Executrix's of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made." (LCC Will 1763/75) Charles, son of William KELHAM and Jane, was baptised at Upper Broughton, Nottinghamshire, on 25 December 1761.
