Note: MARGARET EDGOOSE 1640-1707 Margrett, daughter of John EDGOOSE, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 30 August 1640. (PR) [John EDGOOSE had married Rachell BIRD at Pinchbeck on 19 January 1630/31] In his will made in 1667 or 1667/68 John EDGOOSE of Pinchbeck, yeoman, refers to his wife Rachel and to his daughter Margaret. Margaret EDGOOSE was a witness to his will. (LCC Wills 1668/188) An Index of the Will of John EDGOOSE (1601-1668), yeoman, of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire. The Will was made on 14 January 1667/68. Probate was granted at Boston, Lincolnshire, on 10 April 1668. 01*John EDGOOSE, the Testator. Rachell EDGOOSE gave 4d., John EDGOOSE 4d., Adler EDGOOSE 1s., Joseph EDGOOSE 6d., and Wid. EDGOOSE 6d. (Pinchbeck Parish Register 17 08 002 04a) In his will made on 20 April 1672 William SMYTH of Pinchbeck, yeoman, left two shillings and six pence apiece to "Joseph EDGOOSE, Jeremiah EDGOOSE, James EDGOOSE, Margret EDGOOSE and widow EDGOOSE their mother". (LCC Wills 1672/i/218) An Index to the Will of William SMYTH (????-1672), yeoman of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, made in April 1672. Probate was granted at Lincoln on 5 May 1672. Other Witnesses: Thomas WRIGHT Hellen WRIGHT (Lincoln Consistory Court Will 1672/i/2018) Robert BROWN married Margarett EDGOOSE at Pinchbeck on 11 November 1680. Hellin, wife of Robert BROWNE carpenter had been buried at Pinchbeck on 24 July 1680. Rachell, daughter of Robte and Margreet BROWNE, was baptised at Pinchbeck on 7 January 1682/83. In 1690 a Robert BROWNE was a witness to the will of Joseph EDGOOSE (1646-1690). He also helped Edward MORE, John EDGOOSE, and Richard GILL make an inventory of the belongings of Adlard EDGOOSE on 8 June 1692. (LCC Admon 1692 42) A Robert BROWNE and Margret BROWNE were witnesses to the will of Ann HARBEY widow made on 20 March 1692/93. (LCC Wills 1697 & 8/i/43 Margaret, wife of Robt. BROWN carpenter, was buried at Pinchbeck on 28 January 1706/07. Robert BROWN, yeoman, was buried at Pinchbeck on 13 August 1717. In his will dated 17 March 1714 Robert BROWN of Pinchbeck, yeoman, bequeathed "Unto my maid Servant Rachael EDGOOSE One Guinea (if she happens to live with me at the time of my desease)" (LCC Wills 1717 ii) (See also Thomas BROWNE) (revised 10.10.2019)
