Note: ALICE EDGOOSE 1644- Alice, daughter of Robert EDGOOSE, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 4 January 1643/44. (PR) Robert EDGOOSE had married Rachaell BENETLAND at St. Peter in Eastgate in the City of Lincoln on 27 June 1633. Richard TAILER married Alice EDGOOSE at Pinchbeck on 27 October 1664. In his will made on 30 December 1667 James EDGOOSE of Pinchbeck, son of Robert EDGOOSE, refers to the two children of his brother Richard TAYLOR. (LCC Wills 1668/189) In his will made on 14 January 1668/69 Robert EDGOOSE of Pinchbeck refers to Richard TALER; to Alice, wife of Richard TALER; and to Richard TALER's two children. Lincoln Consistory Court Will 1669/79 (An Alice, wife of William (sic) TAYLOR, was buried at Pinchbeck on 11 January 1674/75. No trace of a burial or re-marriage of Alice at Pinchbeck between 1675 and 1725 has been found, and no marriage between a William TAILER/TAYLOR/TALER etc. and Alice has been found. Elizabeth, wife of William Tailer junior, was buried at Pinchbeck on 18 July 1671. A William TAILER had married Marie ALLIN at Pinchbeck on 23 November 1671. A Richard TAYLOR married Bridget THOMATH at Pinchbeck on 4 May 1686. NOTES & QUERIES: 1) What were the names of her two children? 2) When and where were the children baptised? They must have been born between Alice's marriage to Richard TAYLOR on 27 October 1664 and 30 December 1667 when James EDGOOSE made a will which referred to the two children of his brother Richard TAYLER. 3) When did she die? She was still alive when Robert EDGOOSE made a will on 14 January 1668/69. Was she buried in 1674/75. Was William TAYLOR a misnomer? 4) When and where was Richard TAYLOR buried? (revised 10.10.2019)
