Ellinor BARBER's maiden name and the date and place of her baptism remain a mystery.
Her previous husband was Thomas BARBER and a Thomas BARBER is listed in the Gedney, Lincolnshire, Protestation Returns 1641. He married her at some time between the burial of his wife Mary on 13 April 1650 and the baptism of their daughter Jane at Gedney on 21 March 1657/58. However, the marriage does not appear to have taken place in Gedney parish.
Jane, wife of Thomas BARBER, was buried at Gedney on 17 May 1646.
Mary, wife of Thomas BARBER, was buried at Gedney on 13 April 1650.
Rebeika (?), daughter of Thomas BARBER, was buried at Gedney on 4 September 1656.
Jane, the daughter of Thomas BARBER and Ellinge his wife, was baptised at Gedney on 21 March 1657/58 and buried there on 2 September the same year.
Thomas, son of Thomas BARBER and Ellinor his wife was baptised at Gedney on 12 October 1661.
Thomas BARBER was buried at Gedney on 14 April 1662. The will of Thomas BARBER, a Gedney husbandman, was proved in 1662. (LCC Wills 1662/i/277)
Richard EDGOOSE of Gosberton, Lincolnshire, a husbandman, married Elliner BARBER, a widow from Gedney, Lincolnshire, by licence at Lincoln St. Peter's At Gowt's on 27 July 1662.
Helena, the wife of Richard EDGOOSE, was buried at Gedney on 22 April 1669.
