a. Note:   JOHN EDGOOSE 1684-1749
  John, son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth EDGOOSE, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 1 August 1684. Jeremiah EDGOOSE had married Elizabeth BROWNE at Pinchbeck on 4 May 1682.
  According to the Parish Register of Rippingale, Lincolnshire, John EDGOOSE of Gosberton, Lincolnshire, married Elizabeth ATLEY of Dunsby, Lincolnshire, by licence at Rippingale, Lincolnshire, on 1 December 1726. No trace of a Marriage Bond or Allegation has been found.
  Elizabeth, daughter of John and Elizabeth EDGOOSE, was baptised at Gosberton on 27 September 1727 and buried there on 11 April 1728.
  Elizabeth, daughter of John and Elizabeth EDGOOSE, was baptised at Gosberton on 14 March 1733/34 and buried there on 18 October 1734.
  Janes or Jane, son or daughter of John EDGOOSE, was baptised at Gosberton on 8 July 1736.
  John EDGOOSE, householder, was buried at Gosberton on 16 April 1749 aged 65. According to the inscription on his gravestone he died on 13 May 1749 aged 66. Monumental Inscription in Gosberton Churchyard (legible in 1968 but no longer legible in 1998): In Memory of John Edgoose who died May 13 1749 Aged 66 years And Elizabeth his Wife died April 18 1757 Aged 59 Years their children
  (Parish Register has: John EDGOOSE buried 16 April 1749 aged 65. Apparently BTs have 16 May 1749 Elizabeth EDGOOSE, widow, buried 21 April 1756 aged 59)
  QUERIES 1) Were no children born between 1727 and 1734? Perhaps John EDGOOSE who died at Gosberton in 1781? 2) Was his second wife Sarah BENNET rather than Elizabeth BAKER?
