Note: In 1824 Mr. Newcomb moved from Austerlitz to Onondaga Valley NY. In 1827 to Skaneateles, afterward to Cicero, then to Van Buren, where he canvassed the country in support of the anti-slavery movement. In the fall of 1843 he purchased a farm in the town of Lysander, Onondaga Co., where he resided (except about three years at Martville, Cayuga Co.) until his decease, which occurred at the residence of his son, Daniel.
