Note: BORYS, George Edward George Borys, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on March 12, 2014 at the age of 78. George will be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; two sons Randy and Kerry (Cheryl); one daughter Cathy (Doug); four grandchildren, Kyle, Erin, Carter and Ryley; two sisters Elizabeth Fedor and Irene Chrunik; Aunts (Francis Chimera) and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Borys. George lived his entire life in Calmar as a long time dedicated farmer. George's father Harry took over the homestead in Calmar from his Father, then it was passed to George where he continued to live and farm until his death. George loved to farm and enjoyed his morning breakfast with friends just as much. Prayer Service will be held Thursday March 20, 2014 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Russian Greek Orthodox Church (Highway 19 west of RR 254). Funeral Service will follow on Friday March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Russian Greek Orthodox Church with Father Igor Kisil officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In memory of George, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
