Notes
a. Note:   Catherine Fedor nee Bigus was married before in the Ukraine to Kowal before coming to Canada. They had a daughter (unknown name). She married Andrew Fedor when Kowal passed away. When Catherine and Andrew Fedor came to Canada, Catherine left her daughter with Kowal's parents rather than taking her to Canada. Why she was left is not really known except stories were told Canada's wilderness was no place for a young girl. She was about 10 years old then. The reason for leaving the daughter with Kowal's parents and not Catherine's, is that Catherine's parents were quite old already, Catherine being the youngest in the family (her parents would be approx 75 yrs and they may not have been alive in1898). Nadine (Hope) Poulson nee Fedor said the daughter made contact with Mike Fedor during WW1 but Mike Fedor never responded. At that time, she (Kowal) was living in Paris. There seems to be some confusion about Catherine's maiden name. Some relatives thought it was Rosko. Eugene Fedor found Mike Fedor's Baptism certificate (copy dated 1931) that gave her maiden name as Bigus or Bigris, the spelling is hard to make out properly. Later clarified Catherine's maiden name was Bigus from archive records.
