Note: BORYS, Dennie Katherine February 20, 1924 - March 14, 2016 It is with sadness and gentle relief that we, as a family, announce the passing of Dennie Katherine Borys on March 14, 2016 at the age of 92. She is survived by her loving family and will be forever missed by her daughter Iris/Orecia (Rod) Yanish and her three sons Orville (Cheryl), David (Dorothy) and Daniel (Anita). Dennie is also adoringly remembered as "Baba" by 10 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Metro; parents Michael and Tillie Sarnecki and brothers Bernard, Julius, Maryon and Stanley. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church at Nisku, with Very Reverend Igor Kisil officiating and interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the kind and compassionate staff at Extendicare for their loving care for the past three years. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Dennie's memory may be made to Leduc Extendicare (4309 - 50 St, Leduc, T9E 6K6) or the charity of one's choice.
