Note: BORYS, Lavia On February 9, 2011 Lavia Borys of Planeview Manor, Leduc, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years. Lavia is survived by one daughter Sonja (Murray) Spence of Athabasca; one son Allen (Carol) of Hay Lakes; daughter-in-law Rhonda Borys of Leduc; seven grandchildren, Roxanne (Dean) Persson, Wade (Dawn) Juknies, Melissa Borys (Darren Myrhaugen), Lisa (Brent) Kelly, Lindsey and Lauren Borys, Leah Colborne; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister Sylvia (Dr. Robert) Mulcahy of Seba Beach, and also by many nieces and nephews. Lavia was predeceased by her husband Peter, son Eugene, son-in-law Herbert Juknies, her parents John and Katherine Fedor, brother Peter Fedor and sister Nadia Doerksen. Prayer Service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, Nisku (3 1/2 miles west of Highway 2 on Highway 19). Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, Nisku with Very Reverend Igor Kisil officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
