"Dick" MOBLEY \par --Funeral services were held Monday, June 9, 2003 for RICHARD G. -Dick- \par MOBLEY, age 69, of Osage, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. The \par Reverend Philip Recker officiated. Interment was in the Sacred Heart \par Catholic Cemetery near Osage. Mobley died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at \par Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. \par --Dick was born on June 9, 1933, in Marshalltown, the son of GAIL and \par ALICE (Huber) MOBLEY. He was united in marriage to DONNA POWER on June \par 30, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. He was a member of \par Sacred Heart Catholic Church. \par --Dick served the city of Osage for 37 years, 25 as police officer and \par 12 as Chief of Police. He was a member of the Midwest Organized Crime \par Information Center and a life member of Iowa Association of Chief's \par of Police and Peace Officers, where he served as president of the \par association in 1993. \par --Dick touched many lives through his involvement in implementing the \par DAISY and RUOK"programs in Osage and also the North Iowa Drug \par Task Force" Dick was very active in the Crisis Intervention Center. \par He enjoyed spending time with the senior citizens at the center in \par Osage. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and visiting with \par his many friends and family. Dick enjoyed his annual fishing trips with \par his family to Brainerd, MN. Dick's grandchildren were his pride and \par joy and grandpa was their biggest fan at sports events and other \par activities. He cherished the time he spent with his family. \par --Dick was preceded in death by his parents Gail and Alice Mobley. \par His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna of Osage; four \par children Bruce Mobley and his wife Donna of Mason City; Randy Mobley \par of Ft. Collins, CO; Nancy Heinz and her husband Brian of Mason City; \par Kent Mobley and his wife Judy of Osage; eight grandchildren Isaiah, \par Josiah and Reniah Mobley; Chris and Jenny Mobley; Hillary Heinz and \par Ben and Cody Mobley; three great-grandchildren Alexiah, Madeline and \par Aniah Mobley; step-mother Berdine Mobley of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters \par Susan Tyler and her husband Ted of Golden, CO; Donna Atkinson and her \par husband Barry of Colorado Springs, CO; three brothers-in-law Cliff \par Power of St. Ansgar; Ray and his wife Carol Power of Osage, Tom and \par his wife Zoe Power of Kensett; one sister-in-law Sandy Bushbaum and \par husband Dallas of Mason City and many nieces and nephews. \par SOURCE: Mitchell Co Iowa Obit Archives}
