Note: \tx4480\tx5040\tx5600\tx6160\tx6720\pardirnatural\f0\fs24 \cf0 --GRUNDY CENTER - Irene Huber, 94, of Grundy Center, formerly of Union and Marshalltown, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31 at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center with burial the Union Cemetery, Union. Pastor Lee Webb and Harry Wach will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 4 - 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 - 8 p.m. at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. \par --Irene was born June 21, 1907, in Union, to Ross and Emma Lingle Craig. On Sept. 12, 1924, she married L. W. Huber, who preceded her in death in 1974. She was a member of the Grundy Center Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. \par --She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Modlin of Grundy Center and Yvonne Huber of Grundy Center; a son, Larry Huber and wife, Laverda, of Lakeside, Ariz.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel Brown of Grundy Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four infant children; two grandsons, Curt Modlin and Robert Hunemiller; a great-granddaughter, Carrie Marsh; two brothers; and two sisters.}
