Jotham J Kennedy was also listed with his uncle (my gg grandfather) Thomas Kennedy and his grandmother (my ggg grandmother) Elizabeth C Kennedy in Portland ME in the 1860 census. \par Daniel Kennedy worked as a shipwright and ship's carpenter, as did his brother Jeremiah Kennedy. \par He enlisted in the 1st Maine Heavy Artillery company K, during the Civil War and died of disease on July 25, 1864. \par Records show his home as Pembroke, Washington Co ME, which alligns with census records. His son Jotham J Kennedy was also enlisted in the 1st Maine Heavy Artillery.}
