  Lewis F. Lauer Sr., 64, of 754 Monteagle St., died Friday after a long illness at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lauer was traffic manager for the Stauffer Chemical Co., for 20 years. He worked for the company for 45 years. He was born in Lancaster but had lived most of his life in this city. He was a member of the Stauffer Chemical Management Club, the 25-year-club of the company; the Niagara Falls Traffic Management Club and the Niagara Falls Industrial Management Club. He was a member of the Epiphany Episcopal Church where he was a past vestryman and Sunday school teacher. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian M. Lauer; four sons, Lewis F. Lauer Jr., Youngstown, Paul P., Richard A. and Arthur W. Lauer; and a daughter, Mrs. Karl (Diane) Havens, all of this city; two brothers, Elmer B. Lauer, Hamilton Square, N.J*., and Harold C. Lauer, Gowanda; several nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late H. Arthur Lauer, this city. Friends may call at the Cornell and Daggett Chapel, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Epiphany Episcopal Church with Rev. John E. Widkenden, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family said that flowers or contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the memorial book fund at Epiphany Church would be acceptable as tributes
