Note: sday, July 11, 2002. She was born at Sheffield, Ontario, daughter of the late Frank Studiman and the former Margaret Armstrong. She and her husband James Whaling farmed at lot 8, con. 5 of Ellice Township until 16 years ago when they moved to Stratford. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and a 38 year member of the Catholic Womens League. She was predeceased by her husband April 16, 1992. Beloved mother of Howard Whaling, Irene Savile and husband Ray, Gordon Whaling, Ruth Mueller and husband John, Norma Mark and husband Ted, Eugene Whaling and wife Mary, Margaret Reiger and husband Gordon, Leonard Whaling and friend Cindy, John Whaling and friend Patricia. Mother-in-law of Barbara Whaling. Loving grandmother to 24 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren. Dear sister of Alma Fraser and husband Donald, Kathleen Foreman and husband James. Sister-in-law of Mary Studiman. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son James Whaling, a grand son Paul Savile and brothers Gordon, Leslie and Howard Studiman. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, Sunday July 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Ross Bartley will be celebrant. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Emergency Department through the funeral home.
