a. Note:   Alexander Davidson is the son of James Davidson, born June 16, 1764 and his mother's name was Alison. Alexander is of Scottish decent and was born in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The following was found on page 318 of the book by A.C. Jost "Guysborough Sketches and Essays"

  Of these Elizabeth Vess Davison married Thomas Sceles 08 Apr 1828, and Alexander Davison married Susan Honor McKenzie 17 Apr 1827.
  It has not been possible to connect this family with the records of the many Davisons, who almost without exception moved to Ontario, about the same time as the Hughes and Aikins. These Davisons were the families of John, Alexander and William."
