Note:   From the History of Sullivan Co., MO - p. 396 "May 1869: Murder: A short time since a foul murder was committed near Scottsville, in the county, Jasper Oliver, a peaceable and quiet citizen, was found dead about a mile east of the village, having been shot. No clue to the murder has yet been obtained, and it has not been ascertained what was the incentive to kill him. Frank McKay, Araminta Mullins and Catherine McKay were charged with being the guilty parties, and underwent a preliminary examination before Squire Clements and Rose, but the evidence failed to elicit anything that would implicate them as parties to the crime. The matter is still enshrouded in mystery, but hopes are entertained that the perpetrator of the deed will yet be discovered"
