a. Note:   WAR OF 1812 DECLARATION OF SOLDIER FOR PENSION
 State of Virginia County: Buckingham
 On this 10th tenth day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy one, personally appeared before me John Hill, Judge of the County Court of Buckingham, a Court or Record within and for the county and State aforesaid Daniel Jimerson aged Eighty two years, a resident of Curdsville Township County of Buckingham State of Virginia, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that he was married; that his wife's name was Matilda Apperson, to whom he was married at the residence of Jacob Apperson on the first day of January 1817 & she died the 1st day of Oct 1850; that he served the full period of sixty days in the _______ service of the United States in the war of 1812; that he is the identical Daniel Jimerson, who was drafted in Captain Allen Wilson Company, 5 regiment, division at Cumberland Co Virginia on the 28th day of March 1814 and was honorably discharged at Camp Bottom Bridge 1814; that he served in the Company of Said Captain Allen Wilson and was present as a member of said Company during the full period of six months. Was stationed the greater part of the time at Camp Bottom's Bridge an constituted a part of the Grun Stationed at said Camp, that he, at no time during the late rebellion against the authority of the United States, adhered to the cause of the enemies of the Goverment, giving them aid or comfort, or exercised the functions of any office whatever under any authority, or pretended authority, in hostility to the United States; and that he will support the Constitution of the United States; that he is not in receipt of a pension under any previous act; that he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States, under the provision of the act approved February 14, 1871, and he hereby constitutes and appoints, with full power of substitution and revocation, R.W. Walker of Washington City his true and lawful attorney to prosecute his claim and obtain the pension that may be issued; that his post office is at Gravel Hill County of Buckingham State of Virginia;that his domicile or place of abode is in Curdsville Township in said County & State
