a. Note:   from FindAGrave: Born circa 1777, daughter of Angus MacLeóid, born in the Scottish Highlands. Her mother may have been an Anderson of Scottish descent, born in Ireland. Angus received a Land Grant of nineteen acres on 7th October 1796 on the north side of the North Folk of the Buffalo River and a Land Grant of 100 acres on both sides of the North Fork of the Buffalo River on 27th September 1797. Her son’s (James Clements) death certificate lists her place of birth as Westmoreland County, Virginia (this may or may not be correct). She married John Hilliard Clements in January 1802 (marriage bond was 3rd January 1802) in Amherst County, Virginia.
