a. Note:   From family bible - Elva C. Tipton died 1 Mar 1882. This date is incorrect according to official death record. Elva died of "Ulcer Spine Hemmorage" as best can be read from death record. She died the same day as birth of her 6th child, an unnamed male, on 1 Mar 1885, but her condition had been ongoing for two months. Subsequent research show the male was named Hiram and he lived.
  Family bible has her born in 1857, but her tombstone says 1858
