Note:   At the 1881 census, Margaret A lived at 9 Earl Street, Great Bolton, Lancashire with her parents and siblings Isabella (17), Mary A (15), Agnes (11), Isaac (9), Jane (4), William H (2) and Sarah (6 days). Also visiting was William Miller, a 20 year old horse dealer from Kendal, Westmorland. Margaret was 7 years old, she was a scholar and was born in Colne, Lancashire.
 At the 1891 census, Margaret A was living at 17 Bath Street, Colne, Lancashire with her widowed mother Ann and siblings Mary A Kitchener (25?) a widow, Agnes (21), Isaac (19), Jane (14), William Henry (12) and Christiana (10). Margaret was a coloured weaver, she was 16 years old and was born in Newchurch?, Lancashire.
