a. Note:   At the 1841 census, William was living at Marsden Chapel, Little Marsden, Lancashire with his wife Ann and children Parker (13), Benjamin (11), Eli (11), Nancy (9), Mary (7) and James (2). William was a Farmer and his age was shown as 35. The head of the household appears to be Nancy Parker (Ind) age 60.
 At the 1851 census, William was living at Chapel House, Marsden, Lancashire with his wife, 9 children (Parker - 23, Benjamin - 21, Nancy - 19, Mary - 17, James - 12, John - 9, Sarah Ann - 8, Elizabeth - 3 and Eli - 21 whose wife Rebecca was also living there), along with a lodger Nancy Parker aged 43 from Gisburn.
