Turned out not to be TB but she was plagued with lung problems all of her life.</span>

She began teaching and finished her degree at Texas A&I in Kingsville, Texas in 1950. She retired fom teaching after 30 years and became a full time loving and generous grandmother.</span>

She loved playing the piano and wanted her boys to play but to no avail.
A member of the Methodist Church and attended regularly with her family. She was interested in Genealogy and even took a trip to Owensburg KY to track down her ancestor Nathaniel Bell who served in the Revolutionary War. And so she became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution
Note:
Grew up on a hill in Dierks, Arkansas. Family was poor and lived in small house with no electricty or running water. Firewood was used for heat, cooking and laundry. They never owned a car. T
