Note: OBITUARY
Beryldene B. "Dena" West, age 70, of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Lowell. She was born October 9, 1947 in Huntington, West Virginia to Burl Preston and Juanita (Bryan) Brown. She was raised in West Virginia and graduated from South Point High School. She moved to Michigan in 1990, married C. Richard Dick West, and worked for Oceana County Friend of the Court as a Parent Time Advocate. She attended Radiant Church in Ludington. She loved writing poetry, journaling and singing as a soloist and in the church choir. She had a gift of compassion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Bethany Strong; son, Christopher Strong; grandchildren, Alora, Tristan and Alexis Linthicum; and great-grandchildren, Aaron Lopez and Ny`Vaeh Linthicum. Visitation will be Monday, April 9th, beginning at 10 am until the funeral service at Noon at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby. Memorials may be directed to Radiant Church, 409 S. Washington Avenue, Ludington, MI 49431.
