a. Note:   Marenda Macia Leete born March or April 1798 probably in Claremont New Hampshire. She went as a child with her parents to Castlebar, Quebec. She married April 10, 1820 in Shipton Quebec to Moses Emerson, son of Solomon and Abigail (Marston) Emerson, born 1796 (probably in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire) and raised in Shipton Quebec. By the 1825 Census they have three young sons in their household. Moses purchased a farm in nearby Warwick, where he died May 30, 1845 or May 20, 1846 aged 49 years and 2 days. The dates are listed from church record and from tombstone. Marcia died October 1, 1862. The are buried in the Castlebar Cemetery outside of Shipton. He is not to be confused with another Moses Emerson of the same age and prbably from the same county in New Hampshire that is living in Shipton in 1851. This second Moses had a brother Jesse from Ossipee New Hampshire
  She signed her name Marsha Merenda Leet in Rev.John DePutron's register. Church of England.
