a. Note:   The following Funeral Notice was in the Salem Evening News on Tuesday December 30, 1969:
 "BEVERLY -- Clara (LeBel) Belanger, widow of Edmond Belanger of 7 Judson St., died Monday evening in Beverly Hospital following a short illness at the age of 96 years.
 Born in St. Pascal, Quebec, Canada, February 13, 1874, a daughter of the late Olivier and Demerise (Rivard) LeBel, she lived in Salem before moving to Beverly after the Salem fire of 1914. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church for more than 50 years and was a member of the Third Order of Mary of that parish.
 Mrs. Belanger leaves five daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Rose) Sirois and Mrs. Philip (Blanche) Morin, both of Beverly, Mrs. Ralph (Amanda) Liberge of Wenham, Mrs. Oscar A. (Alice) Lavoie, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Albert (Lucile) Forcier of Salem; 2 sons, Lucien of Salem and Joseph A. Belanger of Beverly; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Bick and Curry Funeral Home, followed by a Solemn High Funeral Mass in St. Alphonsus Church at 10."
