  Dearest Loonies:
  First, for anyone interested in Meisners of Lunenburg, I have to clear
 up some confusion surrounding Theodorus Meisners.
 Every genealogy I have seen published online concerning the Meisners
 seems to confuse Theodore Meisner born 17 AUG 1791 in Lunenburg with
 Theodore Meisner born 8 JUL 1806, LaHave, LUnenburg.
  The first Theodore Meisner (b. 17 AUG 1791) is a son of Johann Conrad
 Meisner (b. OCT 1764, s/o Johannes, gs/o Caspar) and Eva Margretha
 MASSON. He married Catherine Elizabeth GAETZ (Goetz). But it is the
 second Theodore that married Sophia Catherine HUGHEY, although I always
 see her listed as the wife of Theodore 1791.
  The second Theodore Meisner (b. 8 JUL 1806) is a son of Johann
 Heinrich Meisner (23 JUL 1783, s/o Johannes, gs/o Caspar)
 He married Sophie Hughey and had 12, not 3, children:
  Theodore "Doras" Meisner (born July 8, 1806, died 1890)
 married Sophia Hughey (1804 - 1881)
 They are buried in New Cumberland.

  **Kenneth Paulsen's notes say Theodore (1806) was listed as the son of
 Johann Leonhard, but says no other Leonhard Meisner records exist, so
 he assumes Theodore to be the son of Johann Heinrich. My grandmother's
 notes do confirm Johann Heinrich as his father, but I don't know what
 her primary source is for this information.

Note:   From Bob Hegerich: His birth record at Zion Lutheran Church indicates that he was the son of Johann Leonhard and and Christina Meisner. Since there are no other records for Leonhard Meisner (his birth or marriage and further children), it is likely that Theodore is the first child of Heinrich and Anna Christina Meisner. The birth record of Theodore does not state the maiden name of Christina.
